The Centre on Philanthropy has celebrated International Volunteer Day with our membership since 2001. Since 2007, The Government of Bermuda has joined us in hosting our International Volunteer Day events, and thus December 5 is now recognised as a national celebration.
As part of the celebrations The Centre hosts an annual Volunteer Recognition Reception. The reception gives nonprofits across the island the opportunity to celebrate and honor one youth and one adult volunteer who has played a vital role in their organization.
