This scholarship opportunity was made possible by a grant from The Atlantic Philanthropies, an organisation dedicated to bringing about lasting changes in the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people.
SUMMARY
The scholarship financially supports local or overseas personal and professional training as well as continuing education of persons in the nonprofit community. The scholarship supports includes in-service training, conferences, seminars and workshops, overseas training, degree programmes and academic credit leading to international certification of professionals.
Individuals may apply with a recommendation letter from a nonprofit organization, or nonprofit organizations may apply for their employees or volunteers.
Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, character and leadership, dedication to Bermuda’s nonprofit sector and appreciation of the philanthropic philosophy of Cummings V. Zuill.
GOAL
The goal of the scholarship is to nurture, sustain and grow the nonprofit community by supporting educational and training opportunities, thus creating well-trained professionals who will provide the highest calibre of leadership.
The ultimate outcome of the Cummings V. Zuill Scholarship programme is to increase the skill level of individuals in the nonprofit community.
