Calling all Corporate Givers!

Join The Centre on Philanthropy now! As members, we will find more ways to work together. We will find new ways to give. We will explore new ways to ensure that our gifts are being used appropriately and effectively. We will research important social issues and collectively determine how to solve them. As partners we will make a difference in our community!

As a corporate member of The Centre, you will have access to the following programmes and services:

  • Engage—Engage is our newest programme designed to assist our corporate members with their employer-supported volunteering programmes.  Engage offers various levels of programme support ranging from participation in island wide community days to the design and implementation of a customised programme.  For more information please contact Jennifer.
  • Donor Forum—Automatic membership to the Donor Forum.  The Donor Forum is a group of business representatives who come together quarterly to discuss best giving practices and community issues. Notices of meeting times and location will be emailed to the main contact listed on your membership form.  For more information please contact Danielle.
  • Training and Education—The Centre holds various workshops specifically for corporate donors.  Members receive a discounted fee.  For more information please contact Danielle.
  • Donor Directory—Access to the members only Donor Directory, a listing of corporate and foundation donors in Bermuda.
  • Team Tracker—Access to The Bermuda Volunteer Centre Team Tracker that allows companies to track individual and collective employee volunteer hours.  For more information please contact Jennifer.
  • Giving’ Insert—The Centre issues a quarterly Third Sector newspaper supplement aimed at educating the community about philanthropy.  If you or your company have a story to share please contact Peter.
  • Influence and access to research—Through the Donor Forum, businesses are able to influence the focus of Centre research and receive results of surveys once available.  For more information please contact Pamela.
  • Access to the Resource Centre for tools and information regarding effective giving.
  • Discount for Conference—In February 2011, The Centre on Philanthropy will host Bermuda’s only Third Sector Conference for non-profits, corporate donors, individual philanthropists, youth and volunteers.  Members will receive a discount on registration fees.
  • One on One Help Desk—The Centre assists corporate donors in finding answers to key issues surrounding their  giving programmes.  Call us at 236-7706 with your questions.  We are here to help.
  • Access to Donors Best Practices Guide—The Centre has compiled a guide for local grant makers that details how some of the largest corporate grant makers in Bermuda manage their philanthropic programmes.  The Centre will seek to supplement this guide annually.  Please check our website at www.centreonphilanthropy.org
  • Access/Voice within Government—The Centre actively seeks audiences with the appropriate Government departments to address issues of concern to our members and stakeholders. Contact Pamela if you would like to share a topic for discussion.
