National Volunteer Day is an opportunity to acknowledge the countless individuals who each year give up some of their time to assist Bermuda's charities and nonprofits.
As part of International Volunteer Day (www.worldvolunteerweb.org) National Volunteer Day is marked in Bermuda every year. The Centre on Philanthropy recognises the value of each and every volunteer and is running a series of ads in The Royal Gazette to note the occasion.
On December 8, 2010 The Centre's Training and Education programme is running the workshop entitled "Creating a Skilled Volunteer Corp". This full day course focuses on building and sustaining partnerships with the business sector and will be an excellent learning opportuntity for all nonprofits.
