Description

The ability to write a first-class grant proposal is a skill that all proposal writers need in order to remain competitive in today's funding environment.
With increasingly limited philanthropic and charitable budgets, and a shift in how those budgets are allocated, a foundation or charitable giving committee will review your grant proposal to decide whether your project or programme is a good funding fit for them. This two-hour workshop reviews the essential knowledge and skills grantseekers need to become effective proposal writers. Attendees will become familiar with the key components of a competitive grant proposal. The first hour will be devoted to the theoretical approach to grant writing and a discussion that will help participants understand the proposal process from a grantmaker's perspective.  The second hour will focus on reviewing and elements of participants' existing grant proposals.
