  3. Our Mission

Our mission is to volunteer our time, expertise and passion to raise money for projects supporting children in need of food, shelter, healthcare or education in Nepal, Southern Africa and Bermuda. Our work reflects our belief in and commitment to: Service beyond self: KATKiDS is a 100% volunteer-led organisation. We are committed to the simple idea that through volunteering we can turn our time, expertise and passion into what non-profits need most: money. The power of small: We have learned that the sum of small things can have a great and lasting impact. Our strategy through community engagement is to harness the time and efforts of many individuals in order to turn many individual donations into a positive difference in the lives of children in need. Social responsibility: KATKiDS’ fundraising events connect prosperous communities to communities much less fortunate. As members of the Bermudian community, we pledge to give a portion of our locally-raised proceeds to organisations helping Bermuda’s children in need. Integrity and trust: It is crucial that our donors feel absolutely comfortable with where and how their donations are being spent. We pledge to evaluate and visit all potential donees before committing to fundraising for them. We will also post accounts and reports on our website, detailing how much KATKiDS has raised, and where funds have been expended.

Nonetheless, as members of the Bermudian community, we pledge to donate a portion of all fundraising... Read More
