  3. Our Mission

    The goal of the YAO is to provide a safe and nurturing atmosphere where children can learn to play the game of baseball. Rather than focusing solely on the development of the athlete, we try to focus as much on the development of the child as a citizen. By attracting exemplary adult leadership, we are hopefully teaching responsiblity, teamwork, and good character - all in a fun atmosphere. We try to have the cultural makeup of our organization reflect the cultural makeup of Bermuda and, for 2008, fully 78% of registrants stated that they were Bermudian. Our credo is: If a child leaves the playing fields feeling a little more confident, a little more positive about herself or himself, then we have had a very successful day.
