  2. Our Mission

    To deal with the aftermath of stroke, to offer support, help, advice, encouragement and options to assist survivors and families affected by stroke. To bring stroke survivors and their families together, so that by using our collective experiences we can help each other to problem solve and cultivate personal coping resources. To raise public awareness of the support available to survivors of stroke, and also to educate on stroke prevention and treatment.

    Founded July 15, 1992 by Mark Selley and Hilary Soares, both stroke survivors and association-'s chief organizers.   4. Programme and Service Highlights

    Monthly support meetings held every third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.usually on the first floor of the King Edward Memorial VII Hospital conference room. All stroke survivors and family members are welcome to attend. Volunteers visit houses to give relief to family care-giver. Medical Advisor - Dr. Keith Chiappa.
