  3. Our Mission

To develop and establish the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo (BAMZ) as a vital community resource to inspire appreciation and care of island environments, by providing volunteer and financial support for education, exhibits and research programmes. To enhance BAMZ for the benefit of Bermuda, it residents and visitors, and consequently permitting the discovery, understanding and appreciation of our natural world. The Bermuda Zoological Society strives to engage the public in meaningful ways to actively conserve and restore projects of direct benefit to our environment and quality of life. The BZS cooperates with other line minded organizations such as Bermuda Biological Station for research, the Audubon Society and the Bermuda National Trust. We believe that with enhanced collaboration we can effectively reduce our overlap and collectively provide the best benefit for Bermuda. To enhance and support the development of the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo. To encourage and advance research and education on Aquarium, Zoo and related natural history projects. To collaborate and promote relationships with other organizations with similar objectives. To provide fundraising facilities and actively pursue and grow a programme of encouraging gifts, bequests and similar financial aid for further carrying out its work and objectives.
